Grow With Nature Consulting was founded by Alice Nelson, MS, LMFT and is a DBA through the non-profit Neurotherapeutic Pediatric Therapies, Inc.
We are committed to growing the field of Nature Based Therapy through building professional community, reducing barriers to education, and offering free events. Check out our feature in The Oregonian!
When Alice was hired at Neuro during the beginning of COVID times, she proposed to create a Nature Based Therapy Program at Neuro as a way to safely meet clients outside. Now, Neuro’s Nature Based Program includes training, regular consultation, and standardized policies and procedures for how to ethically incorporate Nature Based Therapy into clinical practice.
The Nature Based Program has been so successful at Neuro that Grow With Nature Consulting was developed to further promote teaching Nature Based Therapy to other professionals.
About the Founder
Alice Nelson (she/her) is an LMFT, and AAMFT Approved clinical supervisor in the state of Oregon. Alice identifies as a Nature Based Therapist, intentionally and ethically collaborating with Nature both personally and professionally. Alice’s hope is to help others rekindle and deepen their own authentic relationship to Nature, whether through therapy with her clients when clinically supported or teaching other professionals. Alice finds joy in “yes, and…”ing life and has ranged in her experiences including working in a traveling circus!
